Established in March 2021 and licensed by the Ministry of Sports, the Lebanese Esports Federation (LERF) is dedicated to nurturing and promoting the growth of esports in Lebanon. We represent a diverse range of popular games, including FIFA, PUBG, Tekken, and DOTA2, and are committed to supporting any esports title with a passionate community in our country.
A key achievement has been our ability to support and sponsor Lebanese national teams, enabling them to compete in prestigious international tournaments and achieve significant success. However, developing esports in Lebanon has presented unique challenges. With limited recognition and funding opportunities from local agencies and companies, LERF primarily relies on self-funding and the dedicated efforts of our player community.
We believe in the power of unity. Previously, fragmented communities, such as the FIFA scene with multiple independent tournament organizers, hindered overall progress. LERF has successfully brought these groups together to create a unified national championship, identifying and showcasing the nation’s top talent. This unified approach extends to representing Lebanese gamers on both national and international stages.
Our mission extends beyond competition. LERF is committed to educating the public about esports, promoting responsible gaming practices, and fostering a balanced approach. We prioritize the development of our staff, gamers, and officials, recognizing the need for qualified coaches, referees, and robust digital platforms.
Our vision is a united Lebanese esports scene, enabling the best athletes to represent our nation on the world stage. This is an ongoing journey that requires dedication, cooperation, and the collective effort of the entire esports community. LERF is committed to driving this vision forward.
